OK, last night I upgraded to BlogCFC 5.9, which Ray released the other day. Pretty heavy update, with over 30 file changes in the readme, but very smooth when using WinMerge (thanks to Mark Drew for that little tip).

One item of interest, though. Ray mentions in the readme that he's stopped logging the changes in the document headers, stating that it's redundant to place them there and within the readme doc. He also states "I decided I'd skip that since BlogCFC 6 will have new files." I also noticed, while reviewing the changes, that he has code in place for checking the server version. CF 8 specific changes on the way? We'll have to wait and see.

Already has some CF8 stuff - though behind the scenes - he's using cfthread for pings if you're on 8.

@todd - Great to know, thanks for clarifying that. BTW, I also saw mention of the pod editor you had contributed. I see an 'editor' in the 'Add New Pod' functionality, but nothing really to edit an existing one. Is this by design? Something to come? An idea best left under the rug? Just curious.

You should be able to edit add/edit/update pods from within the Admin. Click on Pod Manager then by each Pod there should be a link for editing that pod. Hit me up if that part isn't working right for you.

@scott - No, my pod manager has a link to "Show sample output" and "Delete Pod", next to the pod name. No edit link that I can find. I did double check the file with that of the BlogCFC 5.9 download, and they are identical.

BTW, I just went back through that readme, and saw that your name is by these changes. Guess I confused it with something else that I recently had seen todd's name on. Anyway, great stuff, and thanks for you contributions.
